Southwold Primary School
Southwold’s got talent show
Southwold’s Got Talent is Southwold Primary School’s annual celebration of the performance talents of pupils at the school. It is open to every child, individually or in a group, and is a great opportunity for the students to learn how to perform in front of an audience and show off their skills at dancing, singing, playing an instrument or…well anything really. This year’s finals included 12 different acts including pupils singing songs by Bill Withers, Alicia Keys and Amy Winehouse. The winner though was Kudirat with in year 6 with a confident and moving rendition of Elastic Heart by Sia.

“Hi Andrew, The Southwold’s Got Talent event was a great success. We had lots of entries that were whittled down to 13 on the night – mostly singing/dance acts, but some musical performances as well. The winner was a girl who sang solo and scooped the star prize of 4 tickets on the London Eye. A huge thank you again for supporting the event, with your help we raised a massive £640! It really means a great deal to us to have Knight Bishop’s continued backing. Apart from maintaining that important link with the community outside the school the funding allows us to achieve much more for the school and provide opportunities to children who would not otherwise be able to have them. For example, in a few weeks we are supporting the attendance of 8 children at an event to learn computer coding at Google. Once again thank you and we look forward to working together on future events. Best wishes James”
Southwold Primary School Fair
Once again Knight Bishop attended and were the head sponsor for the Southwold School Summer fair, which was another great day out. The Fair was a great success this year and included a number of extra elements compared with last year, including demonstrations by St Johns Ambulance (plus their ambulance); a man with a mini zoo including a chameleon and a tarantula; plus two pearly queens.
The funds raised will go towards educational opportunities for the pupils at the school. Final funding decisions will be made next year, but this year we have funded- amongst other things – school trips and a one off session from outside experts teaching the children how to code and build apps.
All at Knight Bishop and Southwold School thanks those who attended and who support the school and its causes.

Southwold’s got talent show
Knight Bishop Sponsored the ‘Southwold’s got talent show’ which took place after school recently. Apart from the usual festive food, stalls, raffle and performances, this year the talent show was held and was open to students, teachers and parents. The ‘Southwold’s got talent’ acts performed and were voted by the panel of judges true simon cowell style! The performances were outstanding and you will see in the photo gallery the deserved winner holding his winnings! amongst many other shots from a wonderful evening. Alongside the main sponsorship, Knight Bishop donated £10 for every poster board advertising the event erected at properties in the area, generating in total a figure for the school in excess of £700!!!
Southwold Primary School Fair
Knight Bishop and Southwold School came together for a great day of fund raising, helping raise over £1400 on the day to put back into the school and its projects. We ran a ‘Guess the price of this house’ competition which was won by the school, who placed 20 guess’s at £1 each. winning £200, a superb investment! Many people arrived on the day to enjoy the activities, including local MP Dianne Abbot, who also came by to show her support. A great day was had by all, who got the chance to enjoy face-painting, karaoke, and a bouncy castle, amongst many other fun things to do and see
